How does it work?

Consignment means you bring items you own into Savvy Style Consignment, and we take it from there—merchandising, showcasing, and selling them on your behalf. You still own your items until they sell.  When they do, you receive a portion of the sale price, and the store keeps the rest as a fee for handling the process. 

Savvy Style Consignment provides a way for you to earn money back on the items you’ve gently loved but are ready to change-up for something different!  

TO BECOME A CONSIGNOR

  • Send a text or email to Amy at 949-308-2260 or info@savvystyleconsignment.com with your name, mailing address, email address and phone number so we can set you up as a consignor! At the same time, please request a date to schedule your initial drop off on Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday between 11am-6pm. 

CONSIGNMENT TERMS

  • We accept a maximum of 30 women’s items (any combination of purses, jewelry, clothing, or accessories) and a maximum of 10 home décor items PER CONSIGNOR PER WEEK. 

  • We take items by appointment only on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday between 11am-6pm.  

  • All items that are not accepted during intake will be donated unless you clearly indicate AT DROP-OFF that you want items returned to you.  Those items must be picked up within 2 days of processing being completed.

  • Please use the guidelines below to help determine which of your BEST items you choose to bring to us!

  • Your items will be priced and put onto the sales floor as soon as we are able to process them.  Items are processed based on the date consignment is accepted.  Please remember it takes time to enter inventory, tag and merchandise your items but we will do so as quickly as possible.  

  • Your 90-day consignment period doesn't start until your items are placed on the sales floor.

  • When you bring in your items, you agree that we’ll set the prices. Please only include pieces you’re comfortable with us pricing. If you’re hoping to receive a specific amount for an item, you may prefer to hold onto it and sell it on your own.

  • All consignors have access to the Consignor Portal where all activity and earnings can be viewed.

Guidelines for Consignment

Savvy Style Consignment strives to offer excellent quality products to our customers, so when choosing which items to consign with us, please follow these guidelines:

1. All items must be FOLDED in a plastic bin or cardboard box OR hanging on hangers.

• Label your bins/boxes with your full name before intake.

• You must pick up your bins/hangers/items not accepted within 5 days of drop-off.

• Items left after 5 days become property of Savvy Style Consignment.

• Items in garbage bags will not be accepted.

2. All items must have a label, tag or branding mark with which to identify them. This is needed to ensure accurate pricing and value.

3. Gently used clothing items must be freshly laundered and free from holes, pilling, stains, excessive wear, odor, fading, pet hair, etc.

• All heavily wrinkled items require extra steaming time to be presentable for the sales floor. A $5 steaming fee per item will be charged for all heavily wrinkled but otherwise qualified items. The total amount will be deducted from your earnings.

4. New, never-worn items with manufacturer/retail tags attached may remain on the clothing.

• A new item does not need to be laundered as long as all other requirements are met. (no stains, odors, missing components, etc.)

5. Items with missing, damaged or broken or non-working components are not accepted.

6. Shoes must be clean and completely free of dirt and show minimal wear.

• Size of shoe must be visible on inside of show or on sole to be acceptable.

• Shoe boxes are not required.

7. Home décor items must be like-new and free from dust, dirt, dents, scratches, odor, etc. All components must be working (e.g. hands on a clock, small lamp must turn off/on, etc.)

8. Savvy Style Consignment will select the qualifying items within 3 days of drop off. Any items we do not accept will be donated unless you specify AT DROP OFF which items you want returned. Savvy Style Consignment makes the final determination of which items will be accepted

Items We Accept & How To Prep for Drop-Off

Women’s clothing

• Freshly laundered

• Folded in plastic bin or cardboard box, or

• Hanging on hangers

• Free from holes, stains, pilling, odor, lint, pet hair, fading, broken/missing components, etc.

Handbags

• Empty and clean inside

• Free from lint, stains, marks

Costume jewelry

• Place each item in an individual baggie

• Jewelry sets should be kept together

• Free from broken/missing components

• Watches needing batteries can be accepted and charged a $5 battery fee.

Shoes

• Free from dirt, INCLUDING soles

• Size must be visible inside shoe or on the sole

• Minimal scuffing on leather shoes

• Stain-free canvas shoes and laces

Accessories

• Any fabric accessories must be freshly laundered (beanies, scrunchies, headbands, scarves, etc.)

Home Décor

(We accept items such as small lamps, clocks, picture frames, small mirrors, wall hangings, decorative boxes, etc.)

• Free from dents, scratches, stains, chips

• Free from missing/broken components

• If your home décor item won’t fit into a bin or box, please contact us with a photo before bringing it to the store.

• Items without a branded label

• Items from TEMU/Shein/Amazon brands

• Clothing that is not a classic or current style

• Items with workplace or organization logos

• Pajamas

• Swimwear

• Non-authentic designer items
